Short Shorts Productions has been open since April 2008 and was founded by Jessie Van Gundel (me). I had been working as a video editor and video production specialist for 4 years and I studied Video and Audio Production at SUNY Fredonia in Western New York.
At Short Shorts our specialty is story telling with a heavy emphasis on the art of editing. We believe that beyond anything, content is what will carry a video. You can have an incredible production value, but if you have no content and no story then you don’t really have a video that will resonate with anyone, it will look great but no one will remember it. We have two main priorities: we want to give you the best production quality for your dollar and we want to help you tell your story and get your message across.

- Note: Many people ask me where I got the name for my company “Short Shorts.” Well the name serves two purposes: Firstly, the name is a tribute to my late father who passed away suddenly in October 2007. My dad was an amazing guy, the most important man in my life… and he was also quirky as hell. Our neighbors and friends remember him fondly for things like his tiny little cut-off denim shorts, these shorts were so short that the pockets hung lower than the end of the shorts. Envision this: a husky, burly, man’s man outside working on the cars, hands greasy and worn… in a pair of Daisy Dukes. Yup. That was my dad;) So in memory of my one of kind dad, I named the company Short Shorts. Short Shorts also describes what we do here which is make short films/videos that are sometimes even shorter than film “shorts.”
